Ghirlandaio Giovanna Tornabuoni Gold Leaf Wood Earrings

These statement earrings feature a detail of the eye from Giovanna Tornabuoni (1490) by Domenico Ghirlandaio, one of the most celebrated portraits of the Florentine Renaissance, now housed at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid — reinterpreted by Obljewellery with the addition of hand-applied gold leaf. Each earring is individually handcrafted in my studio in Granada, Spain, a nod to the gilded opulence of 15th-century Florentine court aesthetics. Because each piece is cut and crafted by hand one at a time from natural wood, no two pairs are exactly identical, offering distinctive wearable art for those who appreciate art history and Renaissance beauty.
