These lightweight white and blue dangle earrings feature a detailed reinterpretation of The Great Wave off Kanagawa (Kanagawa oki nami ura), the world-famous woodblock print by the legendary Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. Originally published between 1830 and 1833 during the late Edo period as the first print in the iconic series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, this masterpiece is professionally handmade by Obljewellery in my studio in Granada, Spain. The design captures the dynamic energy of the ocean waves and the traditional Ukiyo-e style, blending historic Japanese fine art with contemporary elegance. Designed as a striking statement jewellery piece, this wearable work of art is crafted to provoke curiosity, making it an uncommon museum art gift for art historians, ocean lovers, and those who appreciate refined, artsy aesthetics.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Product Type: Handmade costume jewellery.

Materials & Craftsmanship:

The primary raw material used is FSC-certified sustainable pine wood. Each wooden element is manually processed and cut by the artisan using a circular saw, then finished by hand.

Metal Components:

Our designs incorporate stainless steel and 925 sterling silver. All metal components (including chains, clasps, and jump rings) are sourced from a network of trusted professional suppliers. Each supplier provides guarantees that their materials meet rigorous quality standards and are fully compliant with REACH regulations regarding nickel, lead, and cadmium content.
