I am Francesca Ori, an Italian artist living in Spain and one half of the art duo Furst_Ori who over twenty years have developed an international curriculum of exhibitions combining conceptual art over a veriety of mediums: sculpture, video and painting. As Furst_Ori we have curated some of our work into limited series of three dimensional wall art under the brand, Artandshadow. My personal project of Obljewellery grew from my daily engagement with art history and the intimate study of iconic artworks and the artists behind them stemming all the way back to my days as a student of fine art. Over the years this habit and need of study developed into a process of focusing on and highlighting details from masterpieces of historic art and transforming them into objects. Each piece that I design therefore, represents for me an educational experience transformed into a wearable piece of jewellery. For me Obljewellery represents an integral section of this total circle of art engagement:  producing my own artworks as part of Furst_Ori, crafting, studying and making.

In contast to the ethos of mass production, my practice is grounded in the atelier's values: rarity, precision, material sensitivity, and exquisite design. Each creation is crafted with meticulous attention to finish, proportion, and narrative, imbuing each piece with individuality.

Drawing inspiration from the language of painting, ornament, and natural history, these pieces are conceived not simply as ornaments, but as objects of meaning: wearable works of art that embody memory, beauty, and conversation. Their presence is both refined and distinctive, designed for those who appreciate craftsmanship, history, and luxury that comes not from commercial value, but from respect for the environment through the use of materials and entirely manual workmanship.

Sustainability is an integral part of the studio's philosophy. The materials are carefully chosen, and each piece is created with a commitment to responsible production, artistic integrity, and lasting quality.
