This statement pendant necklace captures a mysterious eye detail from an Italian Baroque portrait by Pietro Antonio Rotari (1707–1762), the celebrated Venetian painter renowned for his intimate and expressive depictions of young women. Reinterpreted as contemporary wearable art, this piece brings the drama and elegance of 18th-century portraiture into everyday wear — a refined choice for lovers of art history and the dark academia aesthetic.
The sustainable wood pendant measures 5cm x 6.5cm, with the back covered in soft black felt to protect your clothes. Suspended on a golden stainless steel snake chain of 45cm, finished with an elegant high-quality synthetic pearl drop. The wood used comes from FSC-certified suppliers as a raw material; the final product is not FSC-certified.
Rain and humidity are not a problem, but avoid wearing the jewelry in the shower, bath, swimming pool, or sea.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in my atelier in Granada, Spain, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly identical.
Arrives in handmade sustainable packaging made with FSC-certified paper, unique design by OBLJEWELLERY. An elegant card is included inside the box, featuring a brief description of the artwork and the artist, making it ready to be given as a gift.
