The design draws from the Wolkenbügel (literally "sky hook"), El Lissitzky's iconic 1924 project — a series of horizontal skyscrapers conceived to hover above Moscow's major intersections on slender pillars. Never built, yet endlessly influential, the Wolkenbügel remains one of the most celebrated landmarks of avant-garde architectural theory. Often associated with Constructivism, it is more precisely an example of Rationalism — a movement that pursued a distinct structural expressionism, dissolving the boundaries between architecture, art, and design.

El Lissitzky (1890–1941) was a bridge between the Russian avant-garde and the European movements — profoundly shaping the Bauhaus, De Stijl, and modern graphic design through his use of flat colour, asymmetric composition, and three-dimensional spatial thinking.
