This statement wood pendant captures an intimate detail — a hand delicately holding a flower — from Portrait of Barbara of Portugal by Jean Ranc (Montpellier, 1674 – Madrid, 1735), the celebrated French Rococo portraitist who served at the courts of Louis XV of France and Philip V of Spain. A pupil of Hyacinthe Rigaud, Ranc became one of the most refined court painters of his era, leaving a legacy of elegant and expressive portraiture across two royal courts.
Each pendant is handcrafted in my studio in Granada, Spain. The wood used comes from FSC-certified suppliers as a raw material; the final product is not FSC-certified. The back is covered with soft black felt to protect your clothes. Because every piece is made entirely through manual workmanship, no two pendants are exactly identical.
Chain: sterling silver 925 snake chain, 45cm
Dimensions: pendant approx. 8cm x 4.5cm
