Focusing on the bold contrast of red and black letters and numbers, these rectangular earrings showcase details from Joost Schmidt's visionary 1924 cover design for Junge Menschen magazine. As a celebrated master of typography and graphic design at the Weimar Bauhaus, Schmidt's structured layouts are translated here into a striking piece of geometric contemporary fashion. Each pair is handmade in my studio in Granada, Spain. By choosing details or entire works of art, I create sustainable jewelry inspired by art history and wearable jewelry that brings historic constructivist design into modern wardrobes.

This pair connects directly with collectors of avant-garde history, graphic designers, and those who appreciate the industrial minimalism of museum art history and early 20th-century dark academia aesthetics. The wood used is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers as a raw material; the final product is not FSC-certified. Because every single earring is shaped, printed, and finished entirely through manual workmanship, no two pairs are exactly identical. These durable accessories are built to last when treated with care, offering a distinct and non-common alternative to commercial jewelry.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Product Type: Handmade costume jewellery.

Materials & Craftsmanship:

The primary raw material used is FSC-certified sustainable pine wood. Each wooden element is manually processed and cut by the artisan using a circular saw, then finished by hand.

Metal Components:

Our designs incorporate stainless steel and 925 sterling silver. All metal components (including chains, clasps, and jump rings) are sourced from a network of trusted professional suppliers. Each supplier provides guarantees that their materials meet rigorous quality standards and are fully compliant with REACH regulations regarding nickel, lead, and cadmium content.
