Mary Delany Sustainable Floral Art Earrings

These earrings are inspired by the extraordinary botanical collages of Mary Delany (1700–1788), the English artist who invented the paper-mosaicks — delicate hand-coloured paper fragments layered on a black velvet background to recreate flowers of breathtaking precision. She began this art at the age of 72 and created over 1,000 botanical collages until she was 82, a collection known as Flora Delanica, now preserved at the British Museum in London.
