Sea Art Neo Impressionist Sustainable Wood Statement Necklace

This handmade pendant necklace is inspired by Henri-Edmond Cross's 1891 neo-impressionist masterpiece, The Golden Isles (Las Islas de Oro), located in the Musée d'Orsay. The design reflects the painting's innovative divisionist technique, which interprets the sands, sea, and sky of the South of France through rhythmic, mosaic-like brushstrokes. Influenced by Japanese Ukiyo-e prints with a high horizon line, this art history wearable art piece captures the transition toward early twentieth-century fauvism, functioning as an intellectual talking point for museum art collectors and enthusiasts of the dark academia aesthetic.

The sustainable wood pendant measures 4.5cm x 5cm and is covered on the back with soft black felt to protect your clothes. Suspended on a 925 sterling silver snake chain of 45cm. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear. Rain and atmospheric humidity do not pose a problem for these materials. However, to maintain their quality, avoid wearing the jewelry in the shower, bath, swimming pool, or sea.
