Antonello da Messina Eye Detail Unisex Wood Brooch

This large statement wood brooch features an intense, penetrating eye detail from Portrait of a Man (c. 1475) by Antonello da Messina, one of the most influential painters of the Italian Renaissance, celebrated for introducing Flemish oil painting technique to Italy. Handcrafted in my studio in Granada, Spain, each brooch is individually cut and assembled by hand from sustainable wood, making every piece subtly unique wearable art.

This brooch measures 6.5cm x 6.5cm x back covered with soft black felt. Pin back in silver-plated steel with locking bar, lead and nickel free. Rain and atmospheric humidity do not present a problem, but avoid showers, baths, swimming pools, and the sea. The brooch arrives enclosed in handmade sustainable packaging made with FSC-certified paper, created exclusively by myself.
