A pair of mismatched statement earrings inspired by Albrecht Dürer's Wing of a Blue Roller, a 1512 study of Northern Renaissance naturalism housed at the Albertina in Vienna. Where the original watercolour sets the wing against a light background, this design places it against deep black to bring out the blues, greens and turquoises of the plumage. One earring bears Dürer's “AD” monogram, while the other shows the year of the work in red, a nod to his practice of signing and dating his art.

Handmade from wood in the studio in Granada, Spain, with 925 sterling silver hooks. The original listing gives a weight of 6 grams for these lightweight earrings. Each measures approximately 3.45 cm x 4 cm; small variations reflect the hand-finished process.

A museum-inspired gift for admirers of dark academia, natural history illustration and the precise detail of Renaissance art. The listed colours are blue, black and white. Each order arrives in handmade packaging with a brief history of the artwork.

Our designs incorporate stainless steel and 925 sterling silver. All metal components (including chains, clasps, and jump rings) are sourced from a network of trusted professional suppliers. Each supplier provides guarantees that their materials meet rigorous quality standards and are fully compliant with REACH regulations regarding nickel, lead, and cadmium content.
