Gustav Klimt Portrait of a Lady Green Earrings

These statement earrings are inspired by Portrait of a Lady by Gustav Klimt, painted between 1916 and 1917 in oil on canvas. The painting holds an extraordinary story: X-ray analysis revealed it was an overpainted version of a lost earlier work — Portrait of a Young Lady — depicting a woman with whom Klimt is believed to have had a love affair. After she died suddenly, he painted over her portrait. The work is housed at the Galleria Ricci-Oddi in Piacenza, Italy.

Handmade from sustainable wood sourced from FSC-certified suppliers as a raw material — the final product is not FSC-certified — with 925 sterling silver hooks. Lightweight, comfortable, and full of artistic personality.
