These handmade earrings are inspired by Henri-Edmond Cross's 1891 neo-impressionist masterpiece, The Golden Isles (Las Islas de Oro), located in the Musée d'Orsay. The design captures the painting's iconic sea, sand and island detail, reflecting the innovative divisionist technique that interprets the landscape of the South of France through rhythmic, mosaic-like brushstrokes. A powerful statement piece of wearable art for lovers of art history and the dark academia aesthetic.
The wood used comes from FSC-certified suppliers as a raw material; the final product is not FSC-certified. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in my atelier in Granada, Spain, ensuring that no two pairs are exactly identical.
Dimensions: 3.5cm x 4cm. Very lightweight to wear. Attached to 925 sterling silver hooks.
Rain and atmospheric humidity do not pose a problem. Avoid wearing the jewelry in the shower, bath, swimming pool, or sea.
The earrings arrive enclosed in handmade sustainable packaging made with FSC-certified paper, created exclusively by myself. An elegant card is included inside the box, featuring a brief description of the artwork and the artist, making it ready to be given as a gift.
